This policy explains what data the App handles. In short: your personal reflections stay on your device. We do not run any server that collects them. The only third party that receives data is Google, for showing ads.

1. Data you enter and where it is stored

The App is designed to be “local-first.” The following information is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to us or to any server we operate:

Your daily answer (“Yes/No” or a 0–100 score) to whether you would relive the day
Optional reason tags and short notes you add
Your date of birth (used only to display how many days you have lived)
Letters you write to your future self
App settings (reminder time, theme, preferences)

We do not have an account system, and we do not receive, sync, or back up this data to any cloud service. If you uninstall the App or clear its data, this information is permanently deleted from your device.

2. Backups you create

The App lets you export a backup of your data to a file (or clipboard) and import it later. These backups are created and controlled entirely by you. A backup only leaves your device if you choose to share, move, or store it somewhere. We never receive your backups.

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google may collect and process certain information, which may include: device identifiers (such as an advertising ID), IP address, general (coarse) location, and information about your interaction with ads. This is handled by Google under its own privacy policy.

Consent & personalization. Where required (for example, in the EEA and UK), the App shows a Google consent message that lets you choose whether ads are personalized. On iOS, the App also uses Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt; if you decline, advertising identifiers are not used to track you.

4. Notifications

If you enable the daily reminder, the App schedules a local notification on your device at the time you choose. This is handled entirely on-device and does not involve any server or push service operated by us.

5. Analytics and crash reporting

The App does not include our own analytics or crash-reporting services. (Google may collect limited diagnostic information related to ad delivery as described in Section 3.)

6. Children

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). Your date of birth is used only locally to show a “days lived” figure and is not transmitted to us. If you believe a child has provided information, note that such information resides only on that device and can be removed by clearing the App’s data or uninstalling it.

7. Your choices and rights

Access / delete: All your content lives on your device. You can edit or delete individual entries, or remove everything by clearing the App’s data or uninstalling the App.
Ad personalization: You can change your consent choice via the in-app privacy settings (where offered) or your device’s ad settings.
Reset advertising ID: You can reset or limit your advertising identifier in your device settings.
Depending on your region (e.g., GDPR, CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights regarding data processed by Google as an advertising provider; see Google’s policy linked above.

8. Data security

Because your reflections are stored locally, their security depends primarily on your device’s own protections (lock screen, encryption, etc.). We recommend keeping your device secured and your backups stored safely.

9. Data retention

Your on-device data is retained until you delete it or uninstall the App. Data processed by Google for advertising is retained according to Google’s policies.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” above will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
