1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how the Grocerly mobile
application ("Grocerly", "the app", "we", "us") handles your information.
Grocerly is published under the package name
com.grocerly.grocerly.
2. Data we collect
We do not collect any personal data. Grocerly does not require registration, login, email address, phone number, or any account.
All content you create stays on your device, including:
- Grocery lists and items (names, quantities, units, categories, priorities)
- Optional item prices you enter for spending statistics
- Reusable templates
- App preferences (such as theme and premium status)
This information is stored locally using an on-device database and is never sent to us or any third-party server by the app.
3. Camera permission (QR sharing)
Grocerly requests camera access only so you can scan a QR code to import a grocery list shared by another device. The camera is used solely for live scanning — no photos or video are recorded, stored, or transmitted. You can decline the permission and still use every other feature of the app.
4. Purchases (Grocerly Premium)
Grocerly offers an optional one-time in-app purchase, Grocerly
Premium (product ID grocerly_premium), that unlocks
unlimited lists, templates, items and advanced statistics. Payments are
processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We never
receive or store your payment details. Your purchase status is stored
locally on your device to unlock premium features. Please review

5. Backup & restore
Grocerly lets you export your data as a backup file and restore it later. These files are created on your device and are only shared if you choose to share them (for example, to email, cloud storage, or another app). Grocerly does not upload backups anywhere automatically.
6. No ads & no analytics
Grocerly does not display advertisements and does not include third-party advertising or analytics/tracking SDKs.
7. Data sharing
Because we do not collect your data, we have nothing to sell or share. Any sharing of your grocery lists (via QR code or backup files) is initiated and controlled entirely by you.
8. Data retention & deletion
Your data lives on your device for as long as you keep it. You can delete individual lists and items in the app at any time, or remove everything by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app. Uninstalling permanently removes all locally stored Grocerly data from your device.
9. Children's privacy
Grocerly is a general-audience utility app and does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
